University of Miami Hurricanes checks come two ways: a photo check printed with your own orange-and-green game-day picture or one of our free Hurricanes designs, or a ready-made football design.

The check printers we link to don’t sell a licensed Hurricanes logo check, so a photo check is the way to put the U’s colors on every check. Single Photo checks at Checks Unlimited were $28.49 for 80 on October 17, 2026.

University of Miami checks idea: a Checks Unlimited photo check, where your own picture prints across the whole check, shown on an orange-to-green background
How a photo check looks: your picture fills the check. Swap in your own Hurricanes photo. Tap to start.

Looking for Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (the RedHawks)? See our Miami University checks page. This page is for the University of Miami Hurricanes in Coral Gables, Florida.

Option 1: a photo check with your own Hurricanes photo

This is the only way to get a check that’s clearly about the ’Canes. Good photos to use:

  • your crew in orange and green at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens,
  • the team running out through the smoke, shot from your seats (wide, bright pictures fit the check best),
  • the Coral Gables campus on graduation day, palms and Lake Osceola included,
  • a real white ibis on a South Florida lawn. It’s the bird behind the mascot, Sebastian, and a photo of one carries no trademark.

Order it as Single Photo checks at Checks Unlimited (product code 656). One box of 80 singles was $28.49, two boxes $49.59 and four boxes $87.69. Duplicates start at $34.49. Want to rotate a season’s worth of pictures? Multiple Photo checks (product code 948) print up to four photos in rotation for the same price.

Don’t upload the U logo, Sebastian artwork or screenshots from a broadcast. Checks Unlimited’s photo rules: a JPG, JPEG or BMP file at least 432 × 198 pixels and under 4 MB. Colors are printed lighter than the original so the check meets ANSI banking standards, so bright, well-lit photos work best. By ordering, you also agree to cover Checks Unlimited against any copyright or trademark claim, so upload only pictures you took yourself or our free logo-free Hurricanes designs below. Because colors print lighter, pick a shot where the orange and green are bold and the sky is bright.

Option 2: ready-made football checks

If you’d rather not supply a photo, two football designs print right away:

Neither one uses Hurricanes colors or logos. They’re the quickest choice if you just want a football theme. Checks Unlimited’s licensed collegiate checks are worth a look if you also root for another school.

How to use these designs

  1. Download the design you like with its “Download artwork (JPG)” button. The file is already sized for a 6 × 2.75 in personal check and is under the 4 MB upload limit.
  2. Upload it on the photo-check page at Checks Unlimited (JPG or BMP, under 4 MB). Want up to four photos or a side-tear layout? See all Checks Unlimited photo check styles.
  3. Use the crop tool and preview to keep the helmet or the scene in the middle, away from the $ box and signature line, then check the preview before you order. The printer lightens the image so your bank can read the check, so it will look softer on paper than on screen.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy officially licensed University of Miami checks?

Not from the check printers we link to. On October 17, 2026, Checks Unlimited’s licensed collegiate line covered schools such as Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Penn State and Virginia Tech, but not Miami, and Carousel doesn’t sell college designs. The two routes that work are a photo check with your own Hurricanes photo or one of our free designs above, or a ready-made football design.

Can I put the U logo or Sebastian the Ibis on a photo check?

No. The U, Sebastian and the other Hurricanes marks are trademarks licensed by the university, and Checks Unlimited makes you responsible for any copyright or trademark claim. Use a photo you took, such as your seats at Hard Rock Stadium, with no logo as the focus, or one of our free logo-free Hurricanes designs above.

How much do University of Miami photo checks cost?

On October 17, 2026, Checks Unlimited Single Photo checks were $28.49 for one box of 80 singles and $87.69 for four boxes. Multiple Photo checks, which rotate up to four pictures, cost the same. Carousel Custom Photo checks were $28.50 for 100.

I bank with Bank of America. Can I add a Hurricanes touch to my checks?

Yes. Bank of America’s check-ordering site lists a University of Miami® “’CANES WATCH®” collegiate expression, a short line of text printed on the check, when you reorder through the bank.

Is this the same as Miami University?

No. The University of Miami is the private university in Coral Gables, Florida, home of the Hurricanes. Miami University is a public university in Oxford, Ohio, home of the RedHawks. For the Ohio school, see our Miami University checks page.

Will my bank accept these checks?

Yes. Checks Unlimited and Carousel print standard personal checks with your bank’s routing and account numbers, and Checks Unlimited verifies your bank details before printing.
