Miami University checks for RedHawks alumni and fans: a photo check printed with your own red-and-white picture of Oxford, Ohio, or one of our free RedHawks designs, or a ready-made football design.
The check printers we link to don’t sell a licensed Miami University logo check, so a photo check is how you put Miami on every check you write. Single Photo checks at Checks Unlimited were $28.49 for 80 on October 17, 2026.

Option 1: a photo check with your own Miami photo
This is the way to get a check that’s clearly Miami. Good photos to use:
- Slant Walk in October, with the red-brick Georgian buildings and fall color behind it,
- the arch at Upham Hall, where legend says couples who kiss at midnight become “Miami Mergers,” Miami’s name for alumni couples who met in Oxford,
- your crew in red and white at Yager Stadium on game day, shot wide from your seats,
- a winter night in uptown Oxford along High Street, or a RedHawks game at Millett Hall or the Goggin Ice Center.
Order it as Single Photo checks at Checks Unlimited, where one picture prints on every check, or as Multiple Photo checks to rotate up to four Oxford photos for the same price. Carousel Custom Photo checks put 100 checks in a box.
Use a photo you took or one of our free logo-free Miami designs below, not the Miami M logo, Swoop or a screenshot from a broadcast. Checks Unlimited’s photo rules: a JPG, JPEG or BMP file at least 432 × 198 pixels and under 4 MB. Colors print lighter than the original so the check meets ANSI banking standards, so pick a bright shot where the red stands out. By ordering, you agree to cover Checks Unlimited against any copyright or trademark claim.
Option 2: ready-made football checks
If you’d rather not supply a photo, two football designs print right away:
- Sports Fanatic checks at Checks Unlimited rotate four sports: football, basketball, hockey and soccer. One box of 80 singles was $23.49.
- Football checks at Carousel rotate four gridiron photos. A box of 100 singles was $25.50 and duplicates $28.50.
Neither one uses Miami colors or logos. They’re the quickest choice if you just want a football theme. If your family also roots for another school, Checks Unlimited’s licensed college checks cover schools such as Notre Dame, Penn State and Purdue.

- Copy the routing and account numbers from a current check, and use a starting number you haven’t used yet.
- For a photo check, upload the picture and look closely at the preview. The name, amount and signature lines have to stay readable over your photo.

Miami University at a glance
Miami University was founded in 1809 in Oxford, Ohio, about 30 miles northwest of Cincinnati. It’s the second-oldest university in Ohio and one of the original eight “Public Ivies.” Its colors are red and white, its teams are the RedHawks (the name since 1997), and its mascot is Swoop. Robert Frost called the red-brick campus “the most beautiful campus that ever there was.”
Miami is known as the “Cradle of Coaches.” Paul Brown, Weeb Ewbank, Ara Parseghian, Woody Hayes and Bo Schembechler all came through its football program, and Super Bowl-winning coaches John Harbaugh and Sean McVay played there. The RedHawks play football at Yager Stadium and compete in the Mid-American Conference. They meet Cincinnati every year for the Victory Bell, a rivalry that goes back to 1888. In 2025–26, the men’s basketball team went 31–0 in the regular season, the first unbeaten regular season in MAC history.

How to use these designs
- Download the design you like with its “Download artwork (JPG)” button. The file is already sized for a 6 × 2.75 in personal check and is under the 4 MB upload limit.
- Upload it on the photo-check page at Checks Unlimited (JPG or BMP, under 4 MB). Want up to four photos or a side-tear layout? See all Checks Unlimited photo check styles.
- Use the crop tool and preview to keep the helmet or the scene in the middle, away from the $ box and signature line, then check the preview before you order. The printer lightens the image so your bank can read the check, so it will look softer on paper than on screen.

Frequently asked questions
Can I buy officially licensed Miami University RedHawks checks?
Not from the check printers we link to. On October 17, 2026, Checks Unlimited’s licensed collegiate line covered schools such as Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Penn State and Purdue, but not Miami University, and Carousel doesn’t sell college designs. Bank of America’s collegiate check phrases include the University of Miami in Florida, but not Miami University. A photo check with your own red-and-white Miami picture, or one of our free designs above, is the way to get a Miami check.
Can I put the Miami M or Swoop on a photo check?
Skip them. The Miami M logo, Swoop and the RedHawks marks are university trademarks, and Checks Unlimited makes you responsible for any copyright or trademark claim on the photo you upload. Use a picture you took yourself, such as Slant Walk in the fall or your seats at Yager Stadium, or one of our free logo-free Miami designs above.
How much do Miami University photo checks cost?
On October 17, 2026, Checks Unlimited Single Photo checks were $28.49 for one box of 80 singles and $87.69 for four boxes. Multiple Photo checks, which rotate up to four pictures, cost the same. Carousel Custom Photo checks were $28.50 for 100 singles.
What photo works best on a Miami University check?
A wide, bright, landscape photo with strong red and white, such as the Upham Hall arch, red-brick buildings along Slant Walk, uptown Oxford on High Street or a RedHawks game at Yager Stadium. Checks Unlimited needs a JPG, JPEG or BMP file at least 432 × 198 pixels and under 4 MB, and it prints colors lighter so the check meets banking standards.
Is Miami University the same as the University of Miami?
No. Miami University is a public university in Oxford, Ohio, founded in 1809, whose teams are the RedHawks in the Mid-American Conference. The University of Miami is a private university in Coral Gables, Florida, home of the Hurricanes. For the Florida school, see our University of Miami checks page.
Will my bank accept these checks?
Yes. Checks Unlimited and Carousel print standard personal checks with your bank’s routing and account numbers, and Checks Unlimited verifies your bank details before printing.
