Check designs: frequently asked questions

How do I choose a check design?

Start with a category above, such as dogs, cats, flowers, holidays, sports, Disney or military, then open the design at the retailer to see its formats, box sizes and price.

Can I design my own checks?

Yes. With photo checks you upload your own picture, like a pet, a family photo or a favorite view, and it prints on every check. Our Photo Checks guide covers sizing and cropping.

Will a designer check work with my bank?

Yes. Check printers print designs for any U.S. checking account using your routing number, account number and starting check number. Our bank guides cover specific banks.

Are designer checks secure?

Yes. Checks Unlimited’s checks feature Chemical Protection, Erasure Protection and a Microprint Signature Line on every check.

Should I choose singles or duplicates?

Singles have no copy. Duplicates make a carbonless copy of each check you write, which makes record keeping easier.
