New Orleans Pelicans checks come two ways: a photo check printed with your own Pelicans picture, or a ready-made basketball design.
Online check printers don’t sell NBA-licensed Pelicans logo checks, so a photo check is the way to get navy, gold and red on every check. Single Photo checks at Checks Unlimited were $28.49 for 80 on October 18, 2026.

Option 1: a photo check with your own Pelicans photo
This is the only way to get a check that’s clearly about the Pelicans. Good photos to use:
- your crew in navy and gold at the Smoothie King Center,
- a wide shot of the court from your seats (wide, bright pictures fit the check best),
- the kids in their jerseys at a watch party,
- a brown pelican on the Gulf Coast. It’s Louisiana’s state bird and the team’s namesake, and it doesn’t carry a trademark.
Order it as Single Photo checks at Checks Unlimited (product code 656). One box of 80 singles was $28.49, two boxes $49.59 and four boxes $87.69. Duplicates start at $34.49. Want to rotate several game-night pictures? The photo checks range also has multi-photo designs.
Don’t upload our illustrations, the team logo or screenshots from a broadcast. Checks Unlimited’s photo rules: JPG or BMP files, at least 432 × 198 pixels, clear and not too dark or too light. It also says “Copyrighted images cannot be reproduced, i.e. NFL logos.” Team logos fall under the same rule. Keep any logo in your photo small and off-center, or crop it out.
Option 2: ready-made basketball checks
If you’d rather not supply a photo, two basketball designs print right away:
- Sports Fanatic checks at Checks Unlimited (product code 449) rotate four sports: basketball, football, hockey and soccer. One box of 80 singles was $23.49, and matching labels are $8.99.
- Basketball checks at Carousel put a close-up basketball texture on every check. A box of singles was $25.50 and duplicates $28.50.
Neither one uses Pelicans colors or logos. They’re the quickest choice if you just want a basketball theme.

How to order
- Pick the photo or design and choose singles or duplicates. Duplicates make a carbon copy of each check.
- Copy the routing and account numbers from a current check, and use a starting number you haven’t used yet.
- For a photo check, upload the picture and look closely at the preview. The name, amount and signature lines have to stay readable over your photo.
- Choose trackable shipping. At Checks Unlimited, standard untrackable delivery can take up to 15 business days, and trackable delivery takes 7–11. In-Plant Rush costs $6.99.

Frequently asked questions
Can I buy officially licensed New Orleans Pelicans checks?
We didn’t find NBA-licensed Pelicans checks at Checks Unlimited or Carousel Checks, the printers we link to, when we checked on October 18, 2026. The two routes that work are a photo check with your own Pelicans photo, or a ready-made basketball design.
Can I put the Pelicans logo on a photo check?
No. Checks Unlimited says copyrighted images can’t be reproduced and uses NFL logos as its example, and team logos from any league fall under the same rule. Upload a photo you took yourself, such as your family at the Smoothie King Center, without a logo as the focus.
How much do Pelicans-style checks cost?
On October 18, 2026, Checks Unlimited Single Photo checks were $28.49 for one box of 80 singles and $87.69 for four boxes. Its Sports Fanatic checks, which include a basketball design, were $23.49 for one box. Carousel’s Basketball checks were $25.50 a box.
What happened to New Orleans Hornets checks?
New Orleans renamed its team the Pelicans in 2013, and the Hornets name went back to Charlotte in 2014. Older New Orleans Hornets check pages now point here. For Charlotte, see our Charlotte Hornets checks page.
Will my bank accept checks from these printers?
Yes. Checks Unlimited and Carousel print standard personal checks with your bank’s routing and account numbers, and Checks Unlimited verifies your bank details against bank records before printing.
