Halloween Mischief by Lorrie Weber, and two more Halloween check designs
Halloween Mischief (JHS-24) is Lorrie Weber’s folk-art scene of a big black cat floating over a pile of pumpkins, and Carousel Checks still sells it. Weber’s style uses warm oranges and simple shapes, so the checks look seasonal without being scary.
Carousel also prints Pumpkin Hide and Seek (JHS-13), another Weber design with a sly cat peeking out from behind a grinning pumpkin, and Trick or Treat (TVL-21), four cartoon kids in costumes. Pumpkin Hide and Seek is the design our old Halloween Pumpkin Checks page covered. Look closely and you can spot a little pair of eyes that has found an even better hiding place. Halloween is close, so if you need checks for October bills, allow for printing and shipping time.

Seasonal checks used all year
Many buyers keep a fall design in rotation from September through Thanksgiving, then switch to a winter set. Others use one Halloween box for years, since a single box of 100 lasts a long time at a few checks a month. Weber also painted a holiday shepherd scene; see Keeper of the Flock checks.
Black cats and jack-o’-lanterns are Lorrie Weber favorites, and both of her Halloween sets use the same muted country palette. Trick or Treat is the only one of the three with a printed leather cover, if you want the whole wallet to match.
