What Monet checks look like
Checks Unlimited calls its Impressionist checks captivating and classic, and says they showcase great works by Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Camille Pissarro. Each check reproduces one painting across the full width of the check, behind the payee line, the amount box and the signature line. A soft brushstroke border frames the picture, and the painting title and the artist’s name are printed in small capitals in the lower right corner.
They are standard top-tear personal checks. The bank information prints in the MICR line at the bottom, so they work with any U.S. checking account, the same as the checks your bank sells. The product code is 906, and Checks Unlimited notes that its preview images are enhanced to show detail on the check.
The design comes in singles or duplicates. Duplicates add a carbonless copy under each check, so you keep a record of every check you write. Our duplicate checks guide explains when the copy is worth the extra cost.
The four paintings
The box mixes four scenes, one painting per check. From the product page preview:
- The Red Boats at Argenteuil by Claude Monet: sailboats moored on blue water, with a red-brown hull in the front and a red-roofed house among the trees on the left bank.
- Meadow with Poplars by Claude Monet: a wide meadow of grass and wildflowers in pink, green and violet, with a line of trees across the top and a small figure in the grass.
- The Seine at Champrosay by Pierre-Auguste Renoir: a broad river in soft blue and lilac under a pale sky, with a green bank and trees on the right.
- Spring Pasture by Camille Pissarro: a green pasture with a peaked-roof cottage in the middle distance and a figure standing in the field on the right.
Two of the four checks are Monet paintings, and they are the busiest scenes, with color behind most of the writing lines. The Renoir river scene is the palest of the four. Checks Unlimited sells no Monet-only version, so a box always mixes all four painters’ works.

Impressionist checks cost the same as the plain Blue Classic design, so the paintings add nothing to the price. One box works out to about 29 cents a check and four boxes to about 23 cents, so ordering four boxes at once is the cheaper way to buy. Duplicate Impressionist checks cost $29.49 for one box, $48.99 for two and $90.49 for four.
On October 21, 2026 the Checks Unlimited Special Offers page listed two codes, and only one code works per order: 8FJD for a free 4th box of checks with a 4-box order, and KQTG for up to 30% off 2 boxes or up to 35% off 4 boxes. - Impressionist labels: sets of 210 sheeted, self-sticking return address labels, 2-1/2 by 7/8 inches, $8.99 a set.
- Check register: $3.49 for a spare register with a deposit record and 31 full pages. The Impressionist product page offers it as an add-on, along with a Black Leather Debit Organizer for $12.99.
- Black Standard checkbook cover: $14.99, black leather with a nylon lining that fits singles and duplicates.

Van Gogh and other painters
Checks Unlimited sells no Van Gogh design, and none with Monet’s water lilies, so the Impressionist set is its only check with works by the French Impressionists. Its other designs based on paintings or artists’ work:

The Norman Rockwell checks show four scenes of children and dogs, each in a different frame color (gold, brown, silver and black), and the matching Norman Rockwell cover shows two children on a tree swing. How to order Monet checks
- Have a current check from the same account in front of you. The account number, routing number and next check number come from it.
- Pick singles or duplicates and the number of boxes. Each box holds 80 checks.
- Enter your name, address, bank routing number, account number and the starting check number, as the Checks Unlimited how-to-order page asks.
- Add the register if you want a spare. The Impressionist labels are sold on their own product page, so add them to the cart separately.
- Proofread the preview, especially the account number, then pick delivery and pay.
