Box sizes differ. Checks Unlimited puts 80 checks in a box, while Carousel, Bank Checks Plus and Walmart put 100. So we show the price per box and the price per check, the shipping each seller publishes, and the code each merchant publishes itself. Plain blue singles are listed first.

The table shows two things. On a single box, Checks Unlimited is the most expensive per check, because its boxes hold 80 checks. And on 4 boxes, its $72.29 before codes is the lowest total among the printers, below Carousel’s $79.00 or Bank Checks Plus’s $83.57, though you get 320 checks instead of 400 (22.6¢ a check against 19.8¢ at Carousel). Its current offer codes may lower that at checkout, if the code applies to your design. Walmart’s plain pack is still the lowest price per check if you only want a basic design and can wait for untracked mail.

• Walmart Checks: the lowest plain-check price we found ($12.75 for 100 Blue Secure singles, “from $12.75” on its home page on October 30, 2026), and standard shipping is free. • Bank Checks Plus: $22.59 for 100 Blue Safety singles on November 2, 2026. Its 4-box price ($83.57, 20.9¢) is higher per check than its 2-box price ($40.66, 20.3¢), so 2 boxes is its sweet spot. Shipping is quoted by ZIP code.

5 ways to pay less for checks

1. Pick a plain “value” design. Safety and marble patterns are the cheapest at every printer. At Checks Unlimited, Blue Safety checks were $23.49 for 80 on November 2, 2026. Carousel groups them as Value Priced Checks, and Bank Checks Plus calls them Bargains.
2. Buy 4 boxes with a code. At Checks Unlimited, 4 boxes cut the listed price from $23.49 to $18.07 a box before codes, and its current codes may lower that at checkout, if the code applies to your design. At Carousel the per-check price barely changes, so one box is fine there.
3. Choose singles unless you need copies. Duplicates cost more for the same number of checks.
4. Skip paid extras. Rush printing, extra fonts, checkbook covers and labels all add up. Checks Unlimited adds SentryShield fraud protection to check orders at an extra charge. You can remove it in the cart if you don’t want it.
5. Use a published code. See the codes table. Only one code works per order at Checks Unlimited.
