Free standard shipping is included, which is the biggest reason Walmart wins on a plain box. Walmart barely discounts bulk: four packs cost $50.99, a penny less than four single packs. Most other designs, including Disney checks, start at $14.12. CheckSafe, an optional fraud service, adds $2.00 per pack.

How to order Walmart checks
You don’t have to order checks from your bank. Walmart Checks says its checks meet all bank requirements and are priced lower than typical bank pricing. The order has four steps:
- Go to walmartchecks.com and pick a design (Blue Secure is the cheapest).
- Choose singles or duplicates and the number of packs.
- Enter your routing number, account number, starting check number, name and address. Copy them from an existing check, not a deposit slip; a temporary check works too.
- Check the preview, choose shipping and pay by Mastercard, Visa, Discover or American Express. Walmart can’t debit your checking account for the order.
Reordering: the Quick Reorder page asks for your 9-digit routing number, account number and ZIP code and brings up your last order. Use a new order instead if your account or address changed.
Phone: 866-925-2432, Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central. Walmart Checks prints only for U.S. bank accounts, and business checks are on a separate site, Walmart Business Checks.
Delivery time and shipping
Walmart Checks says you should receive your order within 12 business days from the time it receives your completed order, and its home page says most orders ship in about three business days. If you need checks sooner, you can choose an expedited delivery method at checkout. Missing or wrong account details delay the order.
No store pickup. Walmart doesn’t ship checks to Walmart stores, because checks carry your personal and financial information. They come to your address by mail. If you pick non-trackable delivery, Walmart warns that packs sometimes arrive a week or more apart.
If you need checks this week, a printer with air shipping is faster. Carousel Checks lists Next Day Air (1 to 2 business days), 2nd Day Air (2 to 3), Ground (2 to 5), Trackable (3 to 7), USPS Priority (7 to 10) and Bulk (9 to 18 business days), plus processing time.

When to buy somewhere else
Walmart’s catalog covers basics, Disney, Star Wars, character, animal, floral, patriotic and inspirational checks. Order from a check printer instead when:
- You want team checks. Walmart’s personal-check menu has no sports, team or college category. Checks Unlimited sells MLB checks for 30 clubs, from the Yankees and Red Sox to the Dodgers and Cubs, and collegiate checks for 19 schools, including Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Penn State and Tennessee.
