The footer names Harland Clarke Check Printing, P.O. Box 27207, Salt Lake City, Utah, and the home page pitches ‘exclusive savings for Costco members’. How to order checks from Costco

- Pick singles or duplicates and the number of packs.
- Personalize: routing number, account number, starting check number, name and address, plus an optional logo or monogram.

What you need: a current check (not a deposit slip) to copy the routing number, account number and next check number from, the name and address to print, and a Visa or Mastercard.
High security option: Costco Checks’ High Security Checks add features such as a 3D hologram and heat-reactive ink. Green Safety High Security checks start at $26.45, against $16.18 for Blue Safety.
