How to order checks from Santander
Santander’s preferred check vendor is Deluxe. You start the order in Santander’s Online Banking or app, and Santander passes you to the Deluxe website to choose your checks. Online it takes four steps:
- Go to santanderbank.com and log in to your account.
- Click the Menu in the top left corner and select Accounts Services under the Account section.
- Click Order Checks.
- Select the account you want checks for. Santander takes you to the Deluxe website to finish the order.
In the app: log in to the Santander Mobile Banking app and open the account. On the icon banner, scroll right and tap Order Checks, then tap Continue to website and follow the steps on the Deluxe site. Deluxe logs you off after a period of inactivity, so finish the order in one sitting.
In person or by phone: any Santander branch, or a banking representative at 877-768-2265 (1-877-768-2265), 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, Monday to Saturday. Hearing- and speech-impaired customers can call 711 or their preferred relay service.
Price: Santander says a fee can apply to your checks based on the terms of your account, and it doesn’t list check prices on its ordering page. You see the price on the Deluxe site before you pay.

Santander routing numbers
Santander uses two routing numbers. The quickest way to tell which is yours is the length of your account number:
- 11-digit account number: routing number 011075150.
- 10-digit account number: routing number 231372691.
Don’t know your account number? Santander sets the routing number by the state and date the account was opened:
| State account was opened | Date account was opened | Routing number |
|---|---|---|
| CT, MA, NH, RI | On or before May 17, 2012 | 011075150 |
| CT, MA, NH, RI | After May 17, 2012 | 231372691 |
| MD, NJ, NY, PA, DE | Any date | 231372691 |
Find yours: in Online Banking, select the account and click More Info. Account Details at the top of the page shows your routing number and account number (click Show to see the full account number). On a check, the first 9-digit number at the bottom is the routing number, and the 10- or 11-digit number after it is your account number.

Sovereign and Webster are now Santander
Sovereign Bank: Sovereign Bank, a top 25 U.S. retail bank by deposits, was rebranded as Santander on October 17, 2013, and its legal name became Santander Bank, N.A. The new signs went up at its 718 branches in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. If your old checks say Sovereign, order new Santander checks with the routing and account numbers Santander shows in Online Banking.
Webster Bank: on August 20, 2026, Santander completed its acquisition of Webster Financial and merged Webster Bank into Santander Bank, N.A. Webster Bank is now a division of Santander Bank, N.A. Webster says its customers’ accounts, account numbers, checks, debit cards and online and mobile banking stay the same for now, and that Santander-branded branches can’t help with Webster accounts yet. If you bank with Webster, keep ordering checks the way you do today, with the numbers on your Webster account.

Cheaper option: order Santander-compatible checks online
Your checks don’t have to come from Santander. What makes a check work is the routing, account and check numbers printed in magnetic ink along the bottom, so any U.S. check printer can print them. Checks Unlimited verifies each order against your bank’s records before printing.
Santander charges for checks based on your account terms and shows the price on the Deluxe site. Compare it with the printer prices below, then order wherever it’s cheaper for the design and quantity you want.
What you need
- Your Santander routing number (011075150 or 231372691; see above)
- Your checking account number
- A starting check number higher than your last check
- Your name and address exactly as Santander has them on file
- A current check to copy from (not a deposit slip)
Steps
- Pick a design and quantity (singles are cheapest; duplicates make a carbon copy).
- Enter your routing number, account number, starting check number, name and address.
- Check the preview carefully: printers print exactly what you type.
- Choose shipping (trackable is safer) and pay.

About Santander Bank
Santander Bank, N.A. is the U.S. retail and commercial bank of Banco Santander, S.A., held through Santander Holdings USA, with its U.S. headquarters in Boston. Since the Webster merger, Webster’s former headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut is a Santander corporate hub alongside hubs in New York, Miami and Dallas.
Every Santander check carries the same routing and account numbers whoever prints it, so you can order from Deluxe through Santander or from any check printer. Printers sell personalized check designs in far more styles than a standard checkbook, and our Coupons and Specials page lists the current codes. Add accessories such as address labels and checkbook covers to the same order.
Security features
Bank and printer checks meet the same banking standards; what differs is the security features you choose and how the box is delivered. Start a Santander order only from Online Banking or the Santander app, and order from a printer only on a site you typed in yourself. Choose trackable delivery.
Checks Unlimited lists chemical protection, erasure protection and a microprint signature line on its checks. Its SentryShield check fraud protection is added to orders for an extra charge, and you can remove it in the cart. Choose trackable delivery and keep unused checks locked away.
Delivery time
Santander says checks ordered when you open an account arrive within 7–10 business days, together with deposit tickets. Until then, use the temporary checks in your account opening kit; Santander doesn’t send temporary checks for accounts opened online. It doesn’t publish a delivery time for reorders.
Checks Unlimited: printing and standard delivery take up to 15 business days after order verification, or 7–11 business days with trackable delivery. In-Plant Rush ($6.99) gets your order ready to ship within 2 business days after verification. Carousel lists shipping from Bulk (9–18 business days) to Next Day Air, plus processing time.
Value Priced Personal Checks
Browse hundreds of personal check designs and current deals, from classic and floral to scenic and photo styles, all shipped fast from a trusted printer.
