Intuit distinguishes these formats in its QuickBooks Online printing instructions. Handwritten binder checks are a separate category; see our business checks overview.
Compare two top-voucher buying options
Prices rechecked October 9, 2026, in US dollars. These are published product prices for the listed one-part/single-copy options, not delivered totals. Confirm shipping, tax and extras at checkout.
| Retailer & product | 500 checks | 1,000 checks |
|---|---|---|
| Checks Unlimited Business: top laser checks | $135.1427.03¢ each | $177.8317.78¢ each |
| Checksforless: LV1 laser voucher checks | $82.9516.59¢ each | $115.9511.60¢ each |
Checksforless has the lower listed product price in this two-product snapshot. It specifies one check with two stubs on an 8½-by-11-inch form. Checks Unlimited lists QuickBooks compatibility without identifying every edition or version. Compare compatible configurations and final totals.
Checks Unlimited says SentryShield is added for an extra charge and can be removed in the cart. Its separate personal laser checks have different pricing; those prices are not quotes for this top-voucher product.
Choose and order in three steps
- Confirm compatibility. Give the seller your Online or Desktop edition/version, country edition, printer type and intended task. Compare check position, perforations, paper size and stubs with your working sample or print preview.
- Choose the quantity and copy format. Compare total cost per usable check. For a new setup, ask about a sample or smaller first order. A larger supply costs more upfront and may outlast a bank, address or printer change.
- Review before payment. Check the business details, bank information, starting number, numbering order, copy format, optional extras, delivery and personalized-order correction policy. Enter banking information only through the retailer’s ordering process.
Test alignment before using check stock
In QuickBooks Online, open Print checks, then Print setup, choose voucher or standard, and print a sample on plain paper. Compare it with your stock and adjust until the fields align. Follow Intuit’s current setup instructions for the full process and scaling troubleshooting.
Desktop has separate printer-type and check-style settings. Use the Desktop printing guidance for your workflow, and retest after changing the printer or template.
Voucher-check buying questions
Are voucher stubs extra checks or duplicate copies?
No. The two stubs are sections of one sheet for payment details. They do not create two more negotiable checks or a duplicate-copy upgrade.
Can I use completely blank check stock?
This guide covers preprinted stock. Intuit’s Desktop guidance says QuickBooks does not print MICR fonts, the banking characters at the bottom. Do not assume blank stock has everything your workflow needs.
Does “QuickBooks compatible” cover my exact setup?
Confirm the exact product with the seller. Online, Desktop versions, country editions, printer types and payroll workflows can have different requirements.
Should I buy 500 or 1,000 checks?
1,000 has a lower listed unit price here, but buy a quantity you can use while your printed details and setup remain current. Compare delivered cost, not just the advertised unit price.
Ready to compare your final order?
Match the layout, confirm the exact setup and review the total before paying.
