A Dalmatian’s white coat can look washed out on a check, so pick a shot in soft daylight against a darker background, such as grass, a sofa or a red fire truck. Checks Unlimited’s photo rules: JPG or BMP files, at least 432 × 198 pixels, clear and not too dark or too light. It also says “Copyrighted images cannot be reproduced, i.e. NFL logos.” So use a photo you took, not a frame from 101 Dalmatians.
