Vistaprint shows the price under each design in its gallery and notes that prices are exclusive of delivery and product options. On the day we checked, its site banner offered free economy shipping on orders of $100 or more.
Vistaprint personal checks
For a personal checking account you order wallet checks. Pick a template, choose single or duplicate checks (duplicates make an automatic carbonless copy of every check you write) and a quantity, then enter your name, address and bank details. If you only need a few checks, the wallet trial gives you 25 instead of a full order.

Vistaprint business checks
Vistaprint sells two business formats. 3-to-a-page checks come as loose sheets with tear-away stubs for tracking expenses, and they are the format to pick if you want carbonless duplicates at a desk. Laser checks are loose sheets made for printing straight from accounting software: Vistaprint lists QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, Sage and NetSuite. Wallet checks work for a business account too.

How to order Vistaprint checks
- Choose the format: wallet, wallet trial, laser or 3-to-a-page.
- Browse the designs and pick a template and color.
- Enter your personal and banking information: name, address, routing number, account number and starting check number.
- Customize fonts and add icons or one of Vistaprint’s stock logos in its design studio.
- Use the review proof step to check the MICR line along the bottom: the first 9 digits are your bank’s routing number, followed by your account number.
- Check out. FraudArmor protection is preselected; remove it at checkout if you don’t want it.
Vistaprint says it protects your information with SSL encryption and never stores your account or routing number.
Reordering Vistaprint checks
- Starting number: Vistaprint’s customer care team says the check starting number is not automatically updated on a reorder. Enter the number that follows your last check yourself, or the new checks will repeat numbers you have already used.
- New bank account: Vistaprint can’t change the bank account information on a check order. To update your details, place a new order.
- New address: checks ship only to the address printed on them, so update the address on the check before you reorder after a move.

- Vistaprint produces and ships checks in as few as 5 business days, depending on your order details and location.
- With express shipping, checks ship in as few as 3 business days, not counting production, which usually takes 2 business days.
- Checks ship only to a physical address that matches the address printed on the checks. Vistaprint can’t ship checks to PO boxes (Vistaprint help center).
- Faster options elsewhere: Carousel Checks lists Next Day Air (1 to 2 business days), 2nd Day Air (2 to 3), Ground (2 to 5), Trackable (3 to 7), USPS Priority (7 to 10) and Bulk (9 to 18 business days), plus processing time.
FraudArmor protection
FraudArmor is an optional add-on for any Vistaprint check order, preselected at checkout. It prints a FraudArmor logo on your checks and includes one year of fully managed identity fraud resolution from the ship date, check replacement, lost wallet and lost document help, Dark Web Monitoring (activation required) and up to $25,000 of Identity Theft and Cash Recovery Insurance, underwritten by American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida, an Assurant company. Every Vistaprint check is also printed with tamper-resistant ink that runs or smears if someone tries to alter it.

Design limits: no photo uploads
Vistaprint doesn’t let you upload your own photo or original design for checks. You can change fonts, add icons or stock logos and personalize the text on its templates.
