A logo makes a check easier to recognize for vendors and employees, and it looks more professional than a plain business name. Pre-printed logo checks
Checks you write by hand need the logo printed on them in advance, because there is no software step to add it. At Checks Unlimited the business FAQ answers the logo question directly: call its customer service team at 1-800-954-5590 to order checks with a business logo. The business home page lists Add your Business Logo as call for pricing, so the logo charge is quoted on the phone, not shown online.
Before you call, look up the check product online so you know the base price, for example General Purpose 3-on-a-page checks, desk set checks or 3-on-a-page payroll checks, and ask the representative which products take your logo. The phone line is open Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 5:30 pm MST, per the contact page.
Carousel Checks also prints logos on its Custom Photo General Business Checks: you upload your logo, storefront or another image you own, and its product page (checked the morning of October 20, 2026) listed 300 singles at $50.50 and 300 duplicates at $83.50, with each additional image a one-time $7.99 charge. Carousel prints only images you own the copyright to.
Print your logo from software
If you print checks from accounting software, the software adds the logo every time it prints, so the checks themselves stay plain. The Quicken help page on printing a logo says you can print a logo or other art on standard or voucher checks, but not on wallet checks, and the logo must be a BMP, JPG or PNG file. In Quicken the setting is under File, Printer Setup, For Printing Checks, then Logo.

Symbols, lettering and monograms
If you do not have custom artwork, the General Purpose 3-on-a-page checks let you add a symbol, custom lettering or a monogram while you order online. That puts a mark next to the business name without a phone call. Logo artwork tips
- Keep the logo simple. A small check area shows fine detail poorly, so a bold one- or two-color mark reads best.
- Have a clean file ready. For software printing Quicken accepts BMP, JPG or PNG; for pre-printed logos ask the printer which file type and color options it takes.
- Leave the MICR line alone. Nothing should print over the bottom band with the routing and account numbers.
- Use only art you own. Carousel, for example, will not print trademarked or copyrighted images from other sources.
- Order matching deposit slips and envelopes in the same name so your paperwork looks consistent.
