What a deposit slip is
A deposit slip, also called a deposit ticket, is the form you fill out to deposit cash or checks into your account. You list the cash and each check, add them up and hand the slip to the teller. Personalized slips come pre-printed with your name, address, routing number and account number, so the deposit goes to the right account.
Personal deposit tickets match the ones in the back of your checkbook. Carousel’s are 6 by 2 3/4 inches, bound 25 to a pad, with room for 17 transactions. Checks Unlimited’s one-part slips have 1 line for cash and 15 lines for checks.
One thing a deposit slip is not: a source for ordering checks. Sam’s Club Checks and Checks In The Mail both ask you to copy your bank details from a check or temporary check, not a deposit slip.
