Staples laser checks
The Staples Laser Top Checks, Unlined (item DLT104) are compatible with Quicken, Quicken Deluxe, Quicken Home and Business, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Pro and Microsoft Money, and two tear-off vouchers give you and the payee a payment record. Staples lists this price grid:

Free personalization covers your business imprint, a standard check color, a typeface and a standard business logo. A custom logo, a second imprint color, premium check colors and TamperGuard Plus premium check paper cost extra. The page lists consecutive or reverse numbering to match your printer.

Staples manual checks
The best-selling manual check is the 3-to-a-page side tear binder check (53220N), an end-stub design with side tear vouchers punched for a 7-ring binder (54255N) sold separately:

Note the jump: 500 one-part checks cost $77.99, only $2.00 more than 250. For small businesses that write few checks, the compact business checks (51100N) come in a vinyl trifold cover with a register and deposit tickets, at $37.99 for 100, $49.99 for 200 or $94.99 for 400.
The compact set comes as 100 checks with 40 deposit slips or 200 checks with 80 deposit slips, and Staples sells separate register (51177N) and deposit ticket (51119N) refills so you buy only what you need. For laser checks that need a third copy, DLT104 also comes in 3-part at $268.99 for 250 or $406.99 for 500.

Staples lists high-security laser checks and high security 3-to-a-page checks, and its laser top check offers TamperGuard Plus paper as an add-on. The DLT104 page says its built-in check security is trusted by 7,000 financial institutions nationwide, with chemically sensitive paper, a microprint border, erasure protection, a security screen and a warning box. Checks Unlimited’s High Security Check-on-Top adds a hologram that cannot be photocopied or removed, at $156.48 for 500, and its SecuriGuard 3-on-a-Page costs $71.26 for 300.
