Golden Wings butterfly checks: where to buy them and what they cost
Golden Wings (ANK-65) is still in Carousel Checks’ catalog, and the listing showed current prices on Oct 28, 2026. It is a nature-inspired series with two kinds of butterflies, one of them a monarch.
If you want the pattern more than the whole insect, Butterfly Wings (ANK-23) zooms in on the distinctive markings of a butterfly’s wings, so it reads almost like an abstract design. Carousel prices both identically, so you can choose on looks alone.
Gardeners who plant milkweed for migrating monarchs, nature lovers and people who want a soft, cheerful check for gifts and greeting cards over the holidays are the natural audience for these two designs.
Golden Wings (Carousel Checks, ANK-65). Two butterfly species, including a monarch.
What to check before you order
Choose the starting check number first: one higher than the last check in your current book keeps your records clean. Then confirm the routing and account numbers against a check you already have. These numbers are printed in magnetic ink along the bottom of each check, so a butterfly design is processed by your bank the same as a plain one.
A small seasonal note: by late October most eastern monarchs have already flown south to spend the winter in the mountain forests of central Mexico, so a monarch check is a pleasant reminder of summer during the darker months. It is also a thoughtful pick for a gardener on your holiday list, since the art matches what they plant for.
