Love by Amy S. Petrik and more “love is” checks
Amy S. Petrik’s Love checks show her cartoon couples holding hands, sharing hearts and walking together, painted in loose watercolor. The design is still sold by Carousel Checks, along with a companion set called Love & Friendship.
People searching for “love is” checks are often thinking of the old Love Is… comic. We did not find a licensed Love Is… design anywhere, but Petrik’s couples are the closest in spirit, and Love & Friendship adds short handwritten notes about love and friends.
Love by Amy S. Petrik (Carousel Checks, AMY-03). Petrik’s cartoon couple, with rotating scenes of the pair in love.
Love & Friendship by Amy S. Petrik (Carousel Checks, AMY-16). Four watercolor scenes of flowers, trees and kids with handwritten notes about friendship.
Hearts (Checks Unlimited). Red hearts scattered over a pink background, a simpler romantic option.
