How to order checks from BMO
BMO orders checks through Deluxe. Its account disclosures point personal checking customers to two self-service routes, BMO Digital Banking and deluxe.com/checks:

- Choose the Service Request option and follow the check-order steps. BMO’s Deluxe Check Ordering Demo at usdemos.bmo.com walks through them.
- Or skip the login and order at deluxe.com/checks.
- Enter promo code SHOP for BMO’s current check offer, then review and submit.
Branch and phone: you can also order through a BMO branch or BMO’s Customer Contact Center at 1-888-340-2265 (1-888-340-BANK). The SHOP offer applies only to self-service online orders, not to branch or phone orders or orders placed by calling Deluxe.
The SHOP offer: BMO lists it for personal checking customers from February 9, 2026 through December 31, 2027. It can be used more than once and doesn’t apply to business check orders, shipping and handling, or tax.
Price and free checks: BMO’s fee schedule lists Deluxe check orders as “varies by account type and style.” BMO Relationship Checking customers who order through BMO get free single or wallet safety paper checks, a discount on duplicate safety paper checks and 50% off certain check styles.

Harris Bank, M&I and Bank of the West are now BMO
BMO completed its acquisition of Marshall & Ilsley (M&I) on July 5, 2011, and M&I Bank combined with Harris Bank to form BMO Harris Bank. BMO then completed its acquisition of Bank of the West on February 1, 2023 and converted Bank of the West accounts to BMO later that year. The BMO Harris name has since changed to BMO, and accounts are provided by BMO Bank N.A.
If your checks still say Harris Bank, BMO Harris, M&I or Bank of the West, order new ones with the routing and account numbers on your current BMO statement. More history: Marshall & Ilsley (M&I) Bank checks and Bank of the West checks.
Cheaper option: order BMO-compatible checks online
Your checks don’t have to come from BMO. What makes a check work is the routing, account and check numbers printed in magnetic ink along the bottom, so any U.S. check printer can print them. Checks Unlimited verifies each order against your bank’s records before printing.
